  Horribly disappointed this time around and will not be returning.
  My family and I have been coming here for 6+ years for all our cake requirements. This year, we pre-ordered a custom tiramisu cake for a birthday celebration – as we do every year and received a cake that was completely frozen. We called and got transferred though multiple employees who had no inclination as to why a cake would be frozen. We ended up having to leave a message for someone to call us back and they never did. For the price you’re paying, it’s not worth it and they are obviously unconcerned with customer satisfaction. We had more success with a cake from Costco.

  We purchased our wedding cake here. Rosalie was so helpful, let us try all the different flavours, and ensured everything was exquisite, all of our guests were raving about how amazing the cakes tasted. Also presented very beautifully. Highly recommended it.

  They had my last review taken down somehow, I came in for a late lunch 3pm. I paid 18$ for half a plate of cold cheese tortellini that tasted like it was cooked at 6am, along with a scoop of cold veggies.---
  Any Italian hot-table i've ever been to will always give a bigger portion in the afternoon and especially to a bigger guy like me, so they don't end up throwing stuff out. Mercato doesn't, they prefer to throw out food and have customers leave hungry. Either that or they save their smiles and good service for regulars and old men and women. One time I was waiting to get a veal sandwich and a lady walked up with kids and someone practically ran to serve her and made small talk even though I was obviously at the counter before she was. I heard her say oh can I get a bit more of this, OH Sure you can! And the elderly blonde lady that works the counter made sure the container was overflowing with food. As soon as it was my turn her smile turned upside down and she was very short and when I asked how much $$ for a bit of extra veal she rudely exclaimed i'd have to buy a plate of meat for 15$.

  We've been going to mercato for 15 years. Everything is delicious. Unfortunately tonight we had the lasagna, which we always get and on the first bite we all thought store bought.
  
  Something definitely changed in the sauce, it was really salty and had a strong taste. The noodles weren't as thin as they always were. Very disappointing. Hope their not cutting corners.
